Are you willing to act on something that's currently an unpopular view, even if you may lose a few friends?  What would you do if you heard someone say something awful about one of your closest friends? We all want to believe that we would confront that person but would we really? I mean if it was over Facebook or some other social networking site I am willing to bet that you would say something to that person. However, what if you were right there when it was being said, would you have the courage to stand up and confront that person right then, or would you just stay quiet?

He was a greatly influential during the Civil Right movement. He knew what he believed and was never ashamed of it. I don’t think there was ever a time when anyone questioned whether Dr. King lived what he believed. I mean he was trying to obtain his goal without violence; wouldn’t that be nice in today’s society? There were many people that opposed his movement and ideas but you didn’t see him walk up to them and cuss them out or threaten them. He used words but not to tear others down. He never let the discouraging words or any other challenges he faced make him quit. Everything he went through only made him stronger which is why his legacy lives on to this day.
I’m sure we’ve all gone through our own struggles. Do you think you would be who you were today if it weren’t for that experience?
