I like this tool because it helps organizations to make a graphical interface that displays the key performance indicators and the current status of metrics for an enterprise. Organizations should consider using business intelligence dashboard as it helps in decision-making and makes decision-making easier. The user interface of a dash-board allows presentation of performance metrics and complex relationships in a format that is easily digestible and understandable by time-pressured decision makers (InetSoft Technology Corp, 2015).
There are various ways of integrating decision making to organization performance. For instance, in the manufacturing industry, decisions may be focused on optimization of an allocation of resources and waste management as prescribed by the Lean Manufacturing Methodology. From the perspective of a decision maker, a dashboard can provide a useful way to view information and data (Turban, Wood, & Volonino, 2013).
