Human services provide help to many in need. Human service professionals need to be able to be provided with general information, the case information, about an individual, and understand the needs of the client. This case study involves Michael and his relationships, his roles, and the effects of his unhealthy habits.

He is considering becoming a husband and step-father if he decides to ask Tina to become engaged. He has the role of provider to Taylor because she is unwilling to provide for herself. He, also, has taken on a dual-dependent role with his sister. They seem to need each other, yet, are unwilling to discuss health concerns they are each facing.
