Cooper & Schindler (2011) define business research as the process of planning, acquiring, analyzing, and disseminating relevant data, information, and insights to decision makers in ways that mobilize the organization to take appropriate actions that maximize performance. The solution needs to be found and applied, as it threatens the company’s performance.
The question that the management is looking to answer is: How can HABYL Hotels be proactive in reducing obesity among its employees? During the meeting, the hotel owners discussed the option of introducing wellness, nutrition, and fitness programs to its employees as a way to solve the existing problem. The research question that the owners need to evaluate is as follows: In which type of program would the obese and non-obese employees of HABYL Hotels indicate to participate if offered? The following hypotheses are being examined:
1. Ho. Obese (non-obese) employees of HABYL Hotels will indicate to participate in wellness programs if offered;
H1. Obese (non-obese) employees of HABYL Hotels will indicate not to participate in wellness programs if offered.
2. Ho. Obese (non-obese) employees of HABYL Hotels will indicate to participate in nutrition programs if offered;
