Communication is the process of sharing our ideas, thoughts and feeling with other people and having those idea, thoughts and feeling understood by the people we are talking with. When we communicate we speak, listen and observe.
There have two types of communication which is verbal communication and non-verbal communication.

The advantage of communication is saving of time, it is the only way out during urgent condition and when there have immediate action in necessary. Besides that, communication is more effective when the sender direct touch of the message with receiver of message to prove to be more effective.
The disadvantage of communication is that there is no proof of the message communication. Moreover, there are nothings in writing supporting the message communication under this method also a disadvantage of communication. It is not suitable for future reference and if there is any dispute on any point of the message, it cannot be helped in any way.
For oral communication to be effective, a second communication skill – listening is also required. Explain with appropriate example any Four (4) barriers of effect listening. (15%)
Effective listening is to improve our listening skills we first have to identify the barriers that prevent us from listening because communication cannot be effective without proper listening habits.
Physical Barriers is being uncomfortable that avoid us from listening such as too much chatting, noisy surroundings, hearing disabilities and poor sound quality. We need to control our surrounding to removing competing sound, closing window or door and choose a quite time and place will assist us greatly in not only hearing but to be engaged in listening as well.
Psychological barriers are tending to believe that the way we see and do things is the only right way. We have to bear in mind that everyone has their own cultural, ethical and personal way of communicating.
Nonverbal distraction is the way when we are listening, we tend to focus on what the speaker is wearing, we focus on his/her hairstyle, we watch his/ her body language and if their images are not up to our standard we block out whatever they are trying to say to us.
Faking attention is something like we hearing what speaker is saying or nodding our head, but actually we are not really listening. Faking attention can seriously threaten effective listening because it allows our mind to stray.

To write a business letters is differs from other writing. For the business message and oral presentation, your writing should be purposeful which mean the message is designed to solve problem and convey information. Besides that, the writing also has to persuasive, it means that you want your audience to believe and accept your message. Another is economical which mean you will try to present ideas clearly but concisely.
