Value Alignment: Individual & Apple, Inc.
Ethics and values play an important role in an organization’s key to success. To achieve a successful alignment between personal and corporate values, a “core” relationship between the employee and the company they work for must be strong. The benefits gained hold significant value to both the organization and the employee. The driving force behind each member’s perception of the value has a purposeful meaning that comes about whether or not consciously thought about while performing unified tasks. According to Graziadio Business Report (2009), Values drive behavior and therefore need to be consciously stated, but they also need to be affirmed by actions. This is necessary as many may speak about their values but one sees what is genuine when actions are put into words. Values exert influence over our attitudes, and attitudes influence our behavior. Values are integral to attitude formation and to how we respond to people and situations. Remembering the “Golden Rule” helps formulate the drive as well. It states to keep in mind that establishing mutually agreed upon criteria and administering them fairly to all people is a just path to take.

Jobs also believed that marketing plays is just as important to its values as the people who helped to make Apple, Inc. the company it is today. Jobs also stated that “Marketing is about values. It’s a complicated and noisy world, and we’re not going to get a chance to get people to remember much about us. No company is....
