This assignment task describes the impact of international factors on Easy Jet. It will be focusing on the European factors and specifically the impact which the EU has. European factors have an effect on the UK economy as the UK is a member of the EU. The EU affects the way that the UK businesses perform. The EU began in the 1950’s and started off as European communities. France and Germany were the first countries to join however, 25 more countries joined the EU making it 27 members.

Part of the focus of the Europeans commission is on enterprise and industry policy.
The European members work with the countries involved to become successful and achieve growth and employment.
Easy Jet want to grow their talent and keep easy jet strong they do this by having well prepared people who are willing to take ownership.
The growth of the Easy Jet has also led employment levels to grow for Easy Jet. Growth in employment means Easy Jet will increase and expand as a business. Easy jet grew by 6% in Italy over the last 12 months.
The EU have set up policies which links to education within the 27 countries. Their objectives are
* Making lifelong learning and mobility a reality.
* Improving the quality and efficiency of education and training
* Promoting equality, social cohesion and active citizenship.
* Enhancing creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship, at all levels of education and training.
Having these objectives as long term would mean that people will always be in education and they will learn new things. This would help Easy Jet as people would be bringing in new ideas to help Easy Jet because a better business.

Having an environmental policy helps Easy Jet to achieve their aim which is to protect the environment. Airlines have a responsibility to minimize their impact in the environment. Easy Jet have a number of ways to help contribute to improving the environment. They are producing 100 new airbus aircrafts. These new planes will be more fuel efficient. Having fuel efficient aircraft will help the environment as this will lower the levels of pollution. The amount of noise that Easy Jets aeroplanes make is usually an environmental issue and easy jet works very closely with their airport partners in order to reduce noise. They do this by changing the flap settings used for landing and fuel efficiency has improved.
