So, remember relax and ask all the questions you need to ask. If you ever have private questions or need coaching, please feel free to email me or see me before or after class. Together, I trust that we will have an exciting, stimulating and rewarding learning adventure.
Please refer to my Faculty Home Page.
Complete all assignments as stated in this Syllabus. The weekly assigned Selected Readings are required and will be discussed at the beginning of each class – student participation and familiarity with each article will be graded. (Turn into OLS)
All work must be as thorough and succinct as possible. It is your opportunity to demonstrate to me that you have learned, understood and can apply the course’s objectives in a complete and logical manner which meets the assignments’ criteria.
Papers are expected to be professional and free from grammatical and spelling errors - I reduce a paper grade by one letter for spelling errors. The standard for all papers and reports will be APA.
All written assignments must be typewritten (graphs, charts, etc. may be neatly hand drawn), double-spaced, in size 12 Time Roman or Arial Font, and page numbered. Unless exceptions are granted by myself, written materials must be in compliance with instructions in the UOP course materials. All papers are to be turned in at the beginning of class each night. E-MAIL into OLS.
All papers/reports will have a cover title page containing name, date, course, workshop and assignment title. All papers that exceed 4 pages must have an Executive Summary.
Papers must have full and proper references, cites, etc. to support your analysis or position. The use of outside references, newspapers, Internet, etc. enhance and support your paper’s position. Include bibliography/reference sheet, even if the only source is the assigned text.
All reading assignments can be located at rEsource on the student’s UoP Web Site: https://mycampus.phoenix.edu/secure/resource/resource.asp
We will follow this syllabus exactly! It is the responsibility of each student to come to class on time (class starts at 6:00pm in class) and be prepared for each workshop. Students will have read and understood the information in the course syllabus, the University of Phoenix Student Handbook, and the University of Phoenix approved style guide. Written assignments will be to University level and in APA format. Each student must speak during workshop discussions and group presentations. Absences, arriving late, or leaving early seriously impacts your grade.
The University of Phoenix Adult Teaching/Learning Model specifies that in preparation for every course students will satisfy all prerequisites. During the course itself, students achieve certain specified learning outcomes. All performance assessments depend upon the accomplishment of these outcomes. Students...
