While in my middle and high school years, I myself, have experienced a lot of these incidents occurring in front of my eyes. I have been a witness of students who were being bullied. And the shocking thing was that more than half of the incidents were not even being reported to the faculty. According to the website Bullying No Way, another thing that parents or others don't seem to consider is that there are innocent bystanders that witness bullying. But the thing about those bystanders is that they fear their own safety and do not want to get involved in whatever is happening. They think that there are a lot other people next to them and one of them will help. These bystanders think of it as none of their business and tend to enjoy watching others being bullied (Bullying No Way). If bystanders even attempted to intervene in bullying instead of just standing there and performing the above reasons; they could stop it. Therefore, if you are someone who standing by someone who is being bullied, take some action and try to stop it. If perhaps, more people would stand up to the bully for the bullied, bullying could end before it even starts. Is bullying getting worse? Of course it is getting worse. Over the time period it has gotten a lot worse. Before there wasn't a huge concern about bullying because people would just laugh around and make funny jokes but wouldn't harm anyone mentally or physically. But now these days bullying has become a huge concern in our society due to the different kinds of bullying that is occurring in our society. For example there is physical, verbal, and cyberbullying. Darell Hammond knows what is causing bullying to be a lot worse in this twenty first century. In his article, he give five reasons why bullying is getting worse over time elapse. Those five reasons are technology, the lack of physical education, nutrition, the educational system, and at last parenting.First, Hammond discusses that technology, which has grown a lot over time contribute to increase in bullying. Hammond states that technology allows children to bully in new ways; due to this they are unable to relate to each other; feel empathy; or any other form of compassion (Hammond). Technology has lead people to cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is the use of electronic communication to bully a person, typically by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature. Cyberbullying has been going on a lot because of the social networking cites. Before kids were scared to go outside or to school simply because they were bullied at school. Nowadays, teenagers are being bullied online through social media. Threats and insults are what make many kids scared of walking out in the streets or going to school. They feel insecurity that was caused by either people they know or complete strangers that cause fear to many kids online.Next, Hammond states that the lack of physical education can be a point that can cause bullying (Hammond). Students at school should all...
