Was there anything in either the University of Phoenix Student Code of Conduct or the Student Code of Academic Integrity that surprised you? If so, what was it? Why were you surprised? If not, why not?
There is nothing that really surprised me in the University Of Phoenix Code Of Conduct or the Student Code of Academic integrity. I am accustomed to having codes of conduct and codes of integrity. I have them at work and we have all had them throughout our life with school and other jobs. Even though they might be slightly different ...view middle of the document...
I am learning to become a more professional person then what I started as, and one thing I will need to become is a respectable person of everyone. To gain respect, we must also be respectful to others. Being open-minded is an important aspect of respect. Listen to what others have to say before you speak and take each statement into consideration as everyone has their own view on every subject we will be studying. I like to listen to others so that I can get the perspectives from every side, their perspective and my own.
Why are the Student Code of Conduct and Student Code of Academic Integrity important to you and the University of Phoenix learning community?
The Student Code of Conduct and Student Code of Academic Integrity teach University of Phoenix students the act of respect and responsibility. Not only do these things teach students how to become respectable, responsible, and mature students, but it also teaches them how to become respectable, responsible, and mature in their future career fields that they have chosen. These tools of becoming a respectable and responsible adult will stick with students throughout their time as a University of Phoenix student, and continue on for the rest of their lives. Personally, I hope to hold on to these traits as long as I live, so that I may live my life respecting myself and others and also teaching the same to my children.
