World Nature Organization
Analytical Writing Assignment - Due End of Week 3

I chose to write my analytical paper on the World Nature Organization. The World Nature Organization is dedicated to the protection of the environment at international level. Its main focus is on energy efficiency, climate protection, sustainable development and a sustainable energy supply. As a platform, the WNO tries to build bridges between business interests as well as development and environmental protection while, at the same time, making the economic value of nature apparent.
The mission of the WNO is to promote activities, technologies, economies, ...view middle of the document...

The organization will be established by the states that sign the WNO-Treaty. The treaty shall be open for signature at the upcoming WNO conferences and at the headquarters of the World Nature Organization and at the Depositary Government. Most of the signatory states are yet to ratify the treaty on their respective legislative bodies. Currently, the body is governed by a Preparatory Commission and will be replaced by the main organs once the treaty is taken into force. Entry into force will result in the dissolution of the Preparatory Commission and establishment of the World Nature Organization.

The World Nature Organization treaty was released in 2012. The WNO will eventually become the first intergovernmental organization solely devoted to worldwide environmental protection on a global scale. Invitations had been sent out to key international figures, formally inviting participate and for their support in founding the organization. The host country till this day has yet to be determined.

The Preparatory Commission for the World Nature Organization took a number of decisions that will lay the foundations for the structure of the Organization. The Commission also discussed the details of how to conduct the process of selecting the host country of the Organization. As of right now several countries have expressed interest in hosting the WNO. All States have been invited to submit expressions of interest to the Commission to host the World Nature Organization. The Commission is also preparing the first World Nature Conference. All states are invited to apply to the Preparatory Commission to be considered as the conference location.
The foundation is laid out for the WNO and now the only thing that is left is for a few things to actually fall in place. I believe that once a host is established then things can get only get better for the organization. One of the positives is that the organization is receiving a lot of interest from a lot of countries and it will only be a matter of time before a host location is chosen. In my opinion things will happen fairly fast as there are supporters in the organizations mission and beliefs.
The structure of the World Nature Organization is broken down into two main groups, The Preparatory Board and The Provisional Technical Secretariat. The Preparatory Board is assisted by a...
