Analysisâ€™s report about syllabi in CAP 1
To complete my masterâ€™s degree in the department of Anatomy, Biochemistry, and Physiology at John A Burns School of medicine, I have to take 2 seminar courses of Developmental and reproductive Biology (DRB 613 & DRB 614), an Anatomy course (ANAT 607), and Development and reproductive Biology (DRB 601). The evaluation methods of DRB 601 and ANAT 607 generally require 2 exams and labâ€™s report, but the two seminarâ€™s courses do not require exam or reportâ€™s paper; they only require to attending the classes.

The course requirements are also to take two exams midterm and final exams with essay and multiple choices depending on professors and to participate class on time from 3:30 pm to 5:30pm every Monday. The essay exams are designed about 8 questions and students answer these questions without any sources of material. To understand deeply DRB 601 and help for the exams, this course is recommended reading articles provided in class and textbook Developmental biology, by Scott F. Gilbert, 7th Edition. Grading for this course is based on the grade of midterm exam (40%), final exam (40%) and participation and discussion in lectures (20%).
In the both DRB 601 and ANAT 607 courses, the evaluation methods have a little bit difference; both basically require two essay exams, but ANAT 607 requests a 6-7 page labâ€™s report based on information gaining from lab and articles provided in class. This paper is submitted at the end of the course.
