There are many types of information systems and software applications that an organization uses to run their businesses. Today, organization uses the information systems and software applications to broaden their horizons and allow their businesses to function at its full capacity. There are different many types of software that a department can use; for example, human resource one application to monitor employee turnover and another one for screening job applicants (Rainer & Turban, 2008). These two applications help human resources and store data in a functional and more productive setting for the entire company. Marketing resource management plays a major role in any organization the department uses the information systems and software applications to help the company with running, measuring, and to improve the marketing functions and maintain repeated business for the company. According to resources, the marketing department must know how to analyze customers, markets, plan where time and money will be spent to increase sales and services, produce promotions to target markets via numerous media channels, and measuring the results (Marketing Central, 2010). For example, the software application the department use is for customer database, decision support system application, sales, data warehouse, and business intelligence software (Rainer & Turban). Customer relation management software has become popular in the marketing world thanks to the help of the Internet;   also it can get difficult to maintain current customers (Rainer&Turban). The information systems and software applications help increase the effectiveness of any marketing organizations department with the help of managing data.
