1 Background and investigation
1.1 An introduction to the organisation
The organisation I am creating my system for is a Private school called âKing Fisherâ, which provide education to children aged from 6 years up to children aged 10. King Fisher is located at 80 North Downs Crescent, New Addington, London CR0 0LH and has other branches reaching from Croydon to Luton (there are exactly 5 different branches).
The main purpose of the organisation is to provide education. However, with so many other Private schools in the area King Fisher Addington aims to be the best in the area. King fisher Addington employs around 30 full time teachers excluding supply teachers who often come in to cover certain lessons.
The owner of the business who has asked me to provide a lesson to her is called Amina Begum, she has been part of the business since 2007 and has worked her way up to finally becoming the Head teacher of the school, she works from 7am to 6pm Mondays to Fridays and has days off on Saturday and Sundays in which Vice Head teacher Najma takes over. King Fisher Addington has been open since 2005 and has since won many awards and has an Ofsted inspection rating of âOutstandingâ.
Hierarchy structure of the school
The hierarchical structure of Kingfisher is shown above at the top itâs the board of management these consist of governors who oversee the school and invest in the school in order for it to produce the best education to students some governors at King fisher are Nicola Gillespie who is the staff governor and Sarah Mitchel who is the community governor.
We then move to the principle and vice principle who run the school making sure that the school is doing its best has the right number of teachers and ensuring students are getting the best achievable grades. This is a strategic level within the organisation as they make high level decisions such as expansion of the school or weather to intake a larger volume of students etc.
Strategic plans will have little or no detail in them and more detailed strategic plans will be made slightly lower down the managerial ladder. A good strategic plan will be easier to flesh out lower down than a poor or vague strategic plan. Similarly, well-constructed and more detailed plans will be easier to implement than poorly constructed plans.
After this stage in the hierarchy table we move to key stage teachers these teachers hold a tactical role they have a medium level of power and make sure each subject or lesson are running smoothly and that children are fulfilling their potential
Tactical plans have a medium level of detail and will be very specific; they deal with such matters as who is doing what and within what specific budgets and timescales. Teachers...
