September 11 Memorial & Museum commemorating the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 where around as well as the bombings back in 1993. The museum shop is small and is packed with 2,500 gifts. These gifts are homey and cultured. Museum of Jewish Heritage does not generate huge revenues because its purpose is to be a safe buffer zone between elite museums and the New York City streets. The Jewish Heritage Museum is a celebration of Jewish life before and after the Holocaust. The product line has little reference to the Holocaust, and that consist of "high-end Judaica to downright goofy" (The Wall Street Journal 2014).
It has only been 13 years since 9/11, and it is still a painful for some New Yorkers. Critics, of the September 11 Memorial & Museum, believe that there should not be a gift shops next to memorial that contains, 9/11 victims unidentified remains. They also do not like the $24 admission fee to enter the grounds to pay their respect. It has been called the only cemetery in the world that people have to pay admission. Outrage led to the families of 9/11 victims have been given free entrance. The bodies of 9/11 victims will be remained closed to the public. Across the United States at other historical sites like Pearl Harbor, Arlington National Cemetery, and the U.S Holocaust Memorial Museum all sell gifts to the public. Walking down New York City streets it’s impossible to not see people selling 9/11 merchandise. Families argue that since it is a burial ground for over 3,000 that it should be off limits and they want to 9/11 victims’ bodies to be removed from the September 11 Memorial Museum.
