ARROW SEARCH 2005,
Arrow Recovery Canada's 2005 search effort
began May 23rd this year. During our 2004 search on June 16th, we located
an uncharted shipwreck in our licensed search area. While this unknown
wreck isn't Arrow related, it is in our search area and we found it while
operating under our search license. This find does excite the Marine historians
and Technical divers that make up our group!
So on Tuesday May 24th 2005 we loaded the
ship and using the DGPS co-ordinates from 2004, our navigator John Kabel lead
us back to the wreck position. In transit we stopped at a shallow position
and did some testing with the new ROV, supplied by member Rhon Grenon,
then continued to the wreck site.
This shipwreck is a significant find as we can
now say:
THERE IS A NEW SHIPWRECK IN LAKE ONTARIO!
and Arrow Recovery
Canada located it June 16th, 2004.
