SONAR:
These
are our sonar images from June 1999. They are selectable images,
just click on them to enlarge.
|
Contrary
to media reports, there is no "Confirmed" find
of any Arrow Free Flight Model to this day. To have
a find identified and "Confirmed",
a person or group must first be licensed to search
a specific area, then the target is inspected and identified
by the Ontario Marine Curator. |
Note:
These "targets" or "hits" have not yet
been investigated by the
Ontario government curator.
The
trick to reading sonar imaging is to look for a object with
a shadow. That means it is on top of the surface of
the lake bed. The white band in the center, is the area directly
below the sonar "fish", its width changes
with distance from bottom.
